Plan Your Visit!

We are so excited that you are planning to come to River Rock Community Church! We are a small, casual (come as you are), new church, filled with friendly and welcoming people. Below you will find answers to frequently asked questions about what to expect during your time at RRCC. If we didn't answer a question or address a specific concern you have, please email Pastor Shannon here and he will get back to you in a timely manner. We want your experience to be the best it can be and as comfortable for you and your family as possible. We look forward to meeting you soon!

  • FIRST...

River Rock Community Church (RRCC) worship gatherings start at 10:30am. We recommend arriving by 10:15am just to allow plenty of time to get parked, find your way in, and get settled. We are in shared space with another Kingdom minded church. It sounds weird but it works well. We like to say 2 churches in 1 location! We use the fellowship hall of Glenrock Baptist Church (GBC) for our worship and youth gatherings. We affectionately refer to this space as The Hall. As you arrive on the church campus, you will notice 2 buildings connected by a covered walkway. The Hall is the 2nd building. You may park wherever you feel comfortable. We have greeters outside who will welcome you and help you and your family get to the right space. See the picture included in this section for clarity.

  • SEcond...

We offer snacks, fresh coffee, hot water (for tea or cocoa), and bottled water for all. These items are located to the left as you enter the building. Feel free to grab something as you enter or at any time during our worship gathering. Again, we are casual and want everyone to be comfortable throughout the entire service. We also have hand sanitizer for your safety and convenience.

  • Third...

We offer children's church for Nursery-Kindergarten. When you arrive, just let one of our greeters know that you would like to have your child(ren) go to our children's area during the service and they will escort you and your family there. During children's church, the kids engage in activities, watch lesson videos, have a snack, and discuss the topic of the lesson together. If you have a 1st-5th grader, middle, or high school student, please have them join you in the main service. Middle and High School students are encouraged to come out onTuesday night (6:30-8pm) to engage in our RIVER RUSH STUDENT MINISTRY. You can learn more about RIVER RUSH HERE.

  • Fourth...

Many people ask us about our worship environment. We have live music most Sundays but when our worship leader is out, we utilize videos for our music and have 2 large TVs set up at the front of the room. Visit our download page here to see an example if you like. We do not utilize any flashing or strobing lights in any element of our worship gatherings. We do turn off the overhead lights during the music and turn them back on for the teaching time. Typically our worship gatherings last for about an hour and 15 minutes. The order of service goes as follows: Welcome and announcements, opening prayer, worship music, teaching, closing prayer, and dismissal. We do not "pass offering plates" during the service but encourage online giving here and we have a basket in the back of the room to accept any check or cash donations. If you would like to give via check, please make it payable to RIVER ROCK COMMUNITY CHURCH. All contributions are tax deductible. In order to receive a giving statement for tax purposes, we must have your full contact information including a working email address as our bookkeeper sends everything out electronically.

  • Fifth...

We have a security team made up of members from both RRCC and GBC who monitor the grounds throughout the entire worship gathering. We want everyone to be safe while engaging in worship and actively work to provide a safe and secure environment for everything that happens on campus.
